Mayor Jennifer Narvaez Austria-Barzaga of Dasmarinas City, the Philippines, is the first woman leader in the area. Mayor Jenny, who was once a registered nurse, has great compassion and care for the struggle of her people.

Becoming the first person in the area, Mayor Jenny puts great efforts into livelihood, environment, children protection, as well as clean governance.
In terms of livelihood, Mayor Jenny, when she was the wife of the city mayor, once established Kababaihan ng Dasmarinas sa Bagong Milenyo (KDBM), an all-women volunteer organisation that helps the community.
Media recorded that the action was a big leap as it gave more financial independence to people through livelihood programmes for the members.
