Three stunning, haunting photos of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna taken hours before his death 25 years ago, have been revealed.
At the age of 34, Senna suffered a fatal crash at Imola and the sport lost one of its most beloved heroes.
The images in Jon Nicholson's collection show the three-time world champion in deep discussion with race engineers before the San Marino Grand Prix, arguing the race should be cancelled following the death of his friend and competitor Roland Ratzenburger in qualifying.
